The tradition of *Dana involves receiving teachings from the monks, and then giving the monks support in the form of offerings of food, shelter, and funds. Sponsors help our organization provide food and lodging so that other donations provide transportation for the tour and support their home monastery by providing further education for hundreds of monastic scholars. Our ability to offer these teachings and support Tibetan culture depends on the generosity of each of us.. The purpose of the monk’s tour ultimately is to raise money for their educational institution and support aspiring students with scholastic excellence.
